CAIRO, Ill. -- Charles E. Lang, 58, of Urbandale, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 28, 1941, at Cairo, son of Henry M. and Pearl Gill Lang.
He was a retired construction laborer. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Laborers Local 773 in Cairo.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Pfaff of Villa Ridge, Ill.; two sons, Henry R. Lang of Urbandale and Earl Wilson of Clarkston, Mich.; a sister, Adena Pettit of Urbandale; two brothers, James Lang of Ullin, Ill., and Paul Lang of Bourbannis, Ill.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, in 1988; a son; and a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
