Graveside service for Charles L. Ross, 70, of Kansas City, was held Wednesday at Memorial Park. The Rev. S.S. Borum officiated, with Ford and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ross, 70, died Tuesday, July 7, 1992, at St. Joseph Health Center.

A native of Dexter, he received a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1950.

Ross worked for Doane Agricultural Service in Memphis, Tenn., until 1969. He was then assistant director of farm mortgages for Kansas City Life Insurance Co. until 1983, and then worked for Oppenheimer Industries until 1988.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Maj. Mark Ross of Shalimar, Fla.; three daughters, Deborah Ross of Middletown, Conn., Melissa Hartzler and Laura Ross of Kansas City; two brothers, Don Ross of Bloomfield, David Ross of Belleville, Ill., and three grandchildren.
