Charles Wilkes Keith, 84, of Tulsa, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997.
He was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Dallas, Texas, son of Charles and Mary Alice Keith. He first married Mary Ellen Lewis, who preceded him in death. He later married Kay Stromle.
Keith began work with Service Pipe Line Co. in 1930 and had served as treasurer, comptroller and financial vice president. He retired as senior tax manager with Standard Oil Co. of Indiana in 1973.
Active in scouting, he served as scoutmaster and chairman of finance of the Indian Nations Council. He was also a water safety supervisor and instructor for the American Red Cross.
He was a member of Holy Family Cathedral, Knights of the Holy Sepulcher, and member of the first Board of Trustees of the Newman Center at the University of Tulsa.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Keith of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Caroline White of Cape Girardeau, Jan Wagner of Alma, Ark., Bonnie Wulff of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Fitzgerald's Chapel in Tulsa.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Cathedral. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
