Charles A. Johnson, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Mountain Home, Idaho, to the late Thomas and Ollie Adams Johnson.
Charles was a master firefighter and paramedic with the City of Cape Girardeau Fire Department for 28 years. He was in the first paramedic class in Missouri.
Survivors include his former wife, Barbara Johnson of Cape Girardeau; four children, Chris Johnson, Michele (Terry) Campbell and Joey (Lori) Johnson, all of Jackson, and Susan (Billy) O'Kelly of Cape Girardeau; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leroy and Otis Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. John Harth officiating.
