SIKESTON -- Charles J. "Chuck" Davis, 58, of Sikeston, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Charleston, son of Allen and Zora Davis. He and Lavada Neighbors were married May 12, 1985.
Davis was employed by Sikeston Public Schools. He was a member of Salcedo Baptist Church, Sikeston Eagles, and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Terry Davis of Michigan, Charles Davis Jr. of California, Kevin Kempfer of Sikeston, Terrell Kempfer of Morehouse; three daughters, Laura Lemon of Advance, Karen Bramlett of Sikeston, Sonya Kempfer of the home; his mother of Sikeston; four brothers, Johnnie Davis of Aurora, Ill., Henry Davis of Cape Girardeau, Bob and Roy Davis of Sikeston; four sisters, Anna Tilman of Las Vegas, Nev., Mattie Boyles of Colorado, Alouise Douyard of Mesa, Ariz., Glenda Woodard of Advance, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tommy Astill will officiate, with burial in Armer Cemetery near Bertrand.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
