CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Charles E. Housewright, 76, of Charleston died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Karnak, Ill., son of Charles and Clara Campbell Housewright. He and Sarah Null were married April 29, 1945.
Housewright lived in Charleston most of his life. He had been an announcer and then sales manager at WKRO Radio in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of First Christian Church, and former member and past president of the Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vicki Hutcheson of Charleston; a brother, Vernon Housewright of Carbondale, Ill.; a sister, Adeline Wilson of Karnak; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bert Ott will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
