MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charles H. Gromer, 74, of Marble Hill passed away at 5:14 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends at his residence.
He was born April 27, 1939, in Fredericktown, Mo., son of Arnel and Eva Jordan Gromer. He and Audrey Eudy were united in marriage July 2, 1960.
He worked in the construction industry as a welder.
Survivors include his wife Audrey; two sons, Bobby Gromer of the home and Gary Gromer of Marble Hill; a sister, Christine Frymire of Van Buren, Mo.; two grandchildren, Brandi and Jesse Gromer; and one great-grandchild, Titan Gill, on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom, Pete and Albert; and four sisters, Lillian Spenner, Doris Harris, Bea Williams and Lola Buckingham.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Sis Audrey Gromer officiating. Burial will be in Whitener Cemetery near Marquand, Mo.
