JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral for Charles V. Grammer of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home. The Rev. John Cripps will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Grammer, 91, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at City Care Center in Anna, Ill.
He was born Dec. 6, 1909, in Jackson County, son of Cleveland and Lulu Anglin Grammer. He and Esther K. Leach were married June 13, 1933, in Cobden, Ill. She died May 7, 1999.
Grammer retired as a repairman with CIPS and was a member of Operating Engineers Local 148.
Survivors include a daughter, Karolyn Bishop of Mayfield, Ky.; two sons, Bill Grammer of Milford, Ohio, Mike Grammer of Plant City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant son and two infant grandsons.
