MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charles William "Sonny" Freeman, 70, of Marble Hill passed away Jan. 1, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 24, 1939, in Crowder, Mo., he was the son of J.C. and Beulah Wise Freeman. He married Erma Meyer on Aug. 11, 1972, in Moline, Ill.
Sonny retired from owning and operating Sonny's Restaurant in Marble Hill. He was a member of Glenallen Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Freeman of Jackson; daughters, Debra Hudson of Sikeston, Mo., Cindy Yount, Connie Killian and Christine DaVault, all of Marble Hill, Cathy Stroder of Leopold, Mo., and Amanda Freeman of Jackson; a sister, Dora Davis of Indianapolis; and brothers Marvin and John Freeman, both of Fayetteville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodger Rice officiating. Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
