TAMMS, Ill. -- Charles F. Stonecipher, 74, of Rockford, formerly of Tamms, died Sunday, July 23, 1995, at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1921, at Diswood, son of George and Gertie Raines Stonecipher. He married Maxine Smithey Sept. 14, 1940, in Cape Girardeau.
He was employed by Elco Industries as a tool and die maker for 22 years. He was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church in Olive Branch, where he was a Sunday school teacher and elder.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Chamberlain of Muskego, Wis.; three sisters, Versie Crider, Ellen Hayes and Dorothy Dunn, all of Rockford; a brother, Clifford Stonecipher of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and a grandson.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home in Rockford. Burial will be in Willwood Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
