ADVANCE -- Charles Elfrink, 82, of Advance, died Monday, May 17, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 25, 1911, at Leopold, son of Herman and Mary Brands Elfrink. He and Florence Douglas Hampton were married Dec. 10, 1967, at Sikeston. She died Oct. 15, 1992. He later married Francis Abbott Sherman March 14, 1993, at Advance.
Elfrink worked several years at the former Inland Shoe Co. here. He had also farmed and done lawn work. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Riley Hampton of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Mary Turner of Hot Springs, Ark.; a brother, Elmer Elfrink, Advance Route 2; six stepgrandchildren, and six great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lewis Hejna will officiate, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8:30 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 8.
