Charles E. McCormick, 66, of 1340 N. Main, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 9, 1927, at Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas and Isabell Oliver McCormick.
He married Dorothy Monkiewicz in 1969, at Cape Girardeau.
McCormick worked at Cauble and Field for several years. He later worked for Standley Batch Systems Inc., where he retired in 1983.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
McCormick was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve for many years.
Survivors include his wife; eight step-children, Phyllis Duschell of Cape Girardeau, Paul Buchheit and Ellen Vaught, both of Scott City, Cheryl Kester of Wappapello, Mo., Laura Zimmerman of Chesapeake, Va., Anita Buchheit of Cape Girardeau, Sandy Ressel of Cape Girardeau, Karen Schlosser of Scott City; a brother, Henry McCormick of the state of Arizona; a sister, Katherine Hoganmiller of Verona, Mo.; 18 step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother a step-child.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating.
Burial will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
