Charles E. Foster, 76, 434 Estate Drive, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 1, 1917, in Allenville, son of Frank and Jesse Pearl Simmons Foster. He and Helen Pauline Smith were married Aug. 14, 1938, at Benton. She died Dec. 12, 1976.
Foster worked at Marquette Cement Co. 36 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge 93, Eagles Aerie 3319, Elks at Jackson, and Scottish Rite in St. Louis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Robert S. Foster of Jackson; a daughter, Jo Ann Houseman of Shell Knob; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today. St. Mark Lodge will conduct a Masonic service at 7.
