Charles D. Dietiker, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 5, 1999, at the Lutheran Home. He was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred and Tempa Trout Dietiker. He and Lovie Gertrude Pippin were married Sept. 28, 1928, at Burfordville. She died Aug. 3, 1977...

Charles D. Dietiker, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 5, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred and Tempa Trout Dietiker. He and Lovie Gertrude Pippin were married Sept. 28, 1928, at Burfordville. She died Aug. 3, 1977.

Dietiker owned and operated Dietiker Grocery Store many years. He was a member, former deacon and treasurer of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Dietiker of Florissant, Billy Dietiker of Salem, Vernon Tom Dietiker of Crestview, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
