MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Charles L. Calvin, 69, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Mound City, son of Charles I. and Mary Burns Calvin.
Calvin was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Dana Calvin of Ottawa; a son, Chris Calvin of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Graveside service will be held at noon Friday at Mound City National Cemetery.
Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City is in charge of arrangements.
