CHARLESTON -- Charles Curtis Keen, 66, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1994, at his home.
He was born June 22, 1928, in Wyatt, son of Curtis and Ruth Macko Keen. He and Bernice Mary Bruenderman were married April 10, 1951.
Keen was a self-employed farmer and retired boat pilot. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Union Local 77.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Keen of Jackson, Randy Keen of Charleston; six daughters, Brenda Ketterer of Milton, Fla., Denise Ray of East Prairie, Mary Gates of Blodgett, Phyllis Schwartz of Benton, Rebecca Keen and Tina Ahlfield of Columbia; a brother, Harold Keen of Beech Grove, Ind.; three sisters, Shirley McCollom of Beech Grove, Ind., Lois Delk of Indianapolis, Ind., Birdie Toon of Charleston; eight grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Church, with the Rev. James Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
