MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charles Hobart Bollinger, 85, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1919, at Zalma, Mo., son of Charley Lorenzo and Lottie James Bollinger. He and Beverly Carroll Roggensack were married June 5, 1940. She died Dec. 29, 1978. He and Vera Holloway Perry were married Nov. 20, 1983.
Bollinger was employed by Mid Continent Airlines and Braniff International Airways as district transportation manager of the New York area. He had also been a link trainer instructor.
He had been a member of Marble Hill Bible Chapel, president and secretary of KAAMCO, alderman of Marble Hill, board member of Hickory Hills and Marble Hill Museum, police commissioner, administrator of El Nathan Home, Sunday school superintendent and an elder of Marble Hill Bible Chapel.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharla Wilson of Rockdale, Texas, Carol Harrington of Durango, Colo.; three sisters, Evelyn Taylor of Mount Dora, Fla., Minna-Gene Bollinger and Nedra Johnson of Marble Hill; a half sister, Shirley Bollinger of Sutter Creek, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Glen Lightfoot and Dr. John Engelhart officiating. Burial will be in El Nathan Cemetery at Marble Hill.
