JACKSON -- Charles Albert Adams, 90, of Jackson died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 19, 1907, at Lithium, son of William and Zeba Preston Adams. He and Esther E. Welch were married on May 6, 1930.

Adams retired in 1975 from Glen-Mack Swiss Co. in Gardena, Calif., where he had worked as an electronic inspector. He was previously employed for 20 years at International Shoe Co. in Perryville.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and was a fourth-degree Sur-Knight of Knights of Columbus in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alberta R. "Candy" McClellan of Jackson; two brothers, Adren Adams of Lithium and Russell Adams of Perryville; and two sisters, Mable and Ruth Hunt of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with parish prayers at 7 and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
