PERRYVILLE -- Charles Arthur Long, 56, of Marshall, Va., died Monday, Sept. 13, 1993, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Perry County, son of Densel L. and Caroline L. Kohm Long Sr.
Long was a welding instructor at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas, Va. He was a member of American Welding Society.
Survivors include a son, Charles Long II of Marshall, Va.; two daughters, Diane Long-Simon of Mayport, Fla., Carolyn Long of Alexandria, Va.; his mother of Perryville; two brothers, Glen Long of Brewer, Larry Long of Webster Groves; a sister, Velda Elbert of Hudson, Fla., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate, with burial in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and after 6:30 a.m. Friday.
