JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Charles Anderson Harvel, Jonesboro Route 1, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Philip Nelson will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery near Jonesboro.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Harvel, 42, died Tuesday, May 30, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 4, 1953, in Carlsbad, N.M., son of Fred A. "Red" and Constance L. "Connie" Rose Harvel.

Harvel was a site technician at Trail of Tears State Park in Union County, and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Carlsbad.

Survivors include a son, Michael Harvel; a daughter, Sarah Harvel, both of Cobden; his mother of Jonesboro; three brothers, Clyde Harvel of Anna, Bobby Harvel of Melissa, Texas, Jeff Harvel of Jonesboro; two sisters, Lynda Little of Joppa, and Jennifer Harvel of Hopkinsville, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father.
