CHAFFEE -- Charlene Talley, 77, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 21, 1920, at Chaffee, daughter of Charles William and Hattie Pearl Parmeley Vickery. She and William "Wid" Talley were married April 13, 1941. He died June 11. 1988...

CHAFFEE -- Charlene Talley, 77, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 21, 1920, at Chaffee, daughter of Charles William and Hattie Pearl Parmeley Vickery. She and William "Wid" Talley were married April 13, 1941. He died June 11. 1988.

Talley was a member of First Baptist Church and Chaffee Order of Eastern Star No. 48.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Talley of Cape Girardeau, Brad Talley of Jackson; two brothers, Edwin and Charles Vickery of Chaffee; two grandchildren; and a stepgrandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. R.L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
