CHESTERFIELD, Mo. -- Charlene Pruett, 93, of Chesterfield, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Charlene was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Jackson to Charles and Olga Illers Macke. She and Eulis A. Pruett were married June 11, 1950, in Jackson. Eulis passed away Oct. 8, 2000.
She was a graduate of Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
Loving survivors include sons, Alyn (Janice) Pruett of Miami, Robert (Yudith) Pruett of Houston and David (Wendy) Pruett of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Margaret Wagner and Catheryn Sander.
Current arrangements will be brief with a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate, and burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, where Charlene will be laid to rest next to Eulis.
Once travel becomes less restrictive due to health concerns, a memorial gathering will be announced.
