Charlcie Loretta White, 87, of Bethalto, Illinois, formerly of Scott City died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Bethalto Care Center.
She was born April 23, 1927, in Gideon, Missouri, to William Reece and Edith Thiele Baker. She married Charles Patrick White Sept. 23, 1967, in Granite City, Illinois. He preceded her in death May 22, 1998.
Charlcie is survived by two daughters, Roxie A. White-Payne and husband Robert Grant Payne of Cottage Hills, Illinois, Phyllis Jean Page Nieland of Wood River, Illinois; two grandchildren, Vicki L. Houston Williams and Kathleen Ann Nieland Davis; four great-grandchildren, Robert Donovan Stovall, Nicole Danielle Williams, Zachary Davis and Alex Davis.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Wilma Baker, Gertrude Daniels, Paulene Davis, Delma Zacek and Darles Whitmer; and two brothers, Emett "Bill" Baker and Billy Gene Baker.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
