SIKESTON -- Chandos I. McRill, 68, of 555 Park Ave., Sikeston, died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Oct. 20, 1922, at Lutesville, the son of the late Samuel Irvin and Alta Ruth Crites McRill. On June 1, 1969, he married Lois Miller at Bertrand. She survives of the home.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Sterett in the Pacific theater.

He was an insurance agent and investment broker and helped form Frontier Life Insurance Company in Jefferson City. He also had worked for United American and Jackson National Life Insurance Companies.

He was a 32nd-degree Mason and member of St. Mary's Saline Lodge #226; the Scottish Rite of Valley of St. Louis; St. Mary's Order of the Easter Star, Chapter 338; and First United Methodist Church at Bertrand.

Other survivors include two dauthers, Anita Faye Zimmer of Luskin, Texas, and Rebecca Ann Walker of Reno, Nev., and six grandchildren. A sister and his step-father also preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The Rev. Randy Tracey will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
