Chandois L. Foster, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 11, 1912, at Vanduser, son of Erie H. and Hettie E. Bugg Foster. He first married Marie Reiker July 31, 1940. She died in September 1973. He later married Opal Henson in July 1976. She died in May 1986.
Foster retired as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.
He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3838, Cape Shrine Club, St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93, Moolah Temple and Scottish Rite. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include a nephew, Robert Bentley of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Dr. Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
