PERRYVILLE -- Chalmer A. "Shorty" Zoellner, 89, of Webster Groves died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Clayton.

He was born Dec. 3, 1906, at Perryville, son of August and Amelia Buerck Zoellner. He and Lunetta M. Layton were married June 10, 1930.

Zoellner retired as a leather cutter at International Shoe Co. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Webster Groves.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Madonna Oliver of Webster Groves; two sons, Kenneth Zoellner of Arnold, Robert Zoellner of St. Louis; a brother, Tony Zoellner of Perryville; four sisters, Ruth Versheldon, Doris Kiefer and Euline Van Doren of Perryville, Virginia Van Doren of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
