Chad Beard

CHAFFEE, Mo. — Chad Allen Beard, 31, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 15, 1984, in Portland, Oregon, to Bill and Micia Bratten Beard.

He was a Mason with Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615. Chad enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying with his family, with his dad as the pilot.

Survivors include his parents of Chaffee; a brother, Adam Beard of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Chase Beard Bolt and Gabriel Beard Bolt, both of Sikeston, Missouri; grandfathers Allen Bratten and Billy Beard; a great-grandfather, Carl Bratten; three aunts, Lynnann Davis, Kim (Tom) Clark and Sharon Askew; an uncle, Jim Beard; and several close cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Judy Bratten and “Nanny” Doris Beard; great-grandparents Dick and Betty Speers; and great-grandmother Nevelyn Bratten.

Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with the Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating.

In lieu of flowers, family would like memorials donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation–St. Louis, 50 Crestwood Executive Center, St. Louis, MO 63126.
