MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Celestine Marie Horrell, 85, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Laflin, Mo., daughter of Henry G. and Mary D. Scharenborg Arnzen. She and Edward Joseph Horrell were married Sept. 16, 1950. He passed away March 29, 1996.
Celestine loved to quilt. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, Mo., and a member of the Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Frances) Horrell of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and Kenneth (Dawn) Horrell of Marble Hill; two daughters, Nancy (Larry) McClain of Kelso, Mo., and Diane (Kim) Parker of Villa Ridge, Ill.; a sister, Wilma Arnzen of Marble Hill; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Henry G. and Leonard Arnzen.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Church, with the Rev. William Hennecke officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
