SCOTT CITY -- Celeste Elizabeth Chatman, 83, of Scott City, died Friday, March 22, 1996, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Oct. 14, 1912, at Commerce, daughter of Alfers and Pauline Scherer Chatman.

Chatman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include a sister, Hermina Gosche of New Hamburg.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev. James Seyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
