Cecil Margaret White, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Oscar Luther and Tava Delilah Brown Bennett.

She and Harold White were married Dec. 31, 1938, in Cape Girardeau. He died March 12, 1990.

White had been a silk presser at Parisian Cleaners, and a nurse aide at old St. Francis Hospital. A lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, she was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Brower Trowbridge of McClure, Ill.; a sister, Juanita Crites of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; six great-stepgrandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 9 to11 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
