DEXTER -- Funeral service for Cecil W. Jarrell of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Gerald King will officiate, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Jarrell, 80, died Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, at his home.

He was born Jan. 11, 1914, in Piggott, Ark., son of William and Miranda Book Jarrell. He and Geneva Davenport Ellis were married April 18, 1944. She died March 7, 1986.

Jarrell was retired from Nichols Lumber Co. He also repaired clocks in his home.

Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Hyslop of Bloomfield; a brother, Curtis Jarrell of Kelso, Wash.; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
