THEBES, Ill. -- Cecil May, 52, of Thebes died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Anna, Ill., son of Alguquine "Jack" and Ruby Ilene Bridges May.
May was a community volunteer and frequent blood donor.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include four sisters, Linda Bevens of Thebes, Willa Simmons of McClure, Ill., Dixie Reed of French Village, Mo., Barbara Bailey of Olive Branch, Ill.; three brothers, Ronnie May of Mesa, Ariz., Robert and Thomas May of Thebes; special nieces, Nikki May and Samantha Redcloud of Dongola, Ill; other nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Hammond; three brothers, Leonard, Patrick and Jackie May.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday until time of service.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at Dongola.
