CECIL ELIZABETH PARKER

BERTRAND -- Cecil Elizabeth Parker, 86, formerly of Wyatt, died Aug. 21, 1993, at the Bertrand Retirement Facility.

She was born Jan. 24, 1907, in Mississippi County to the late Gus Adolph and Slice Hines Henry. She had lived in Mississippi County her entire life.

She was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church and had been employed with Burkarts in Cairo, Ill., until her retirement in 1976.

On Feb. 24, 1930, she married Roy Lee Parker, who preceded her in death on March 15, 1978. One son, five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Baugh and Georgia Payne, both of Charleston; one sister, Gladys Parker of East Prairie; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Tom Bridges, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
