SCOTT CITY -- Cecil Dwayne McDowell, 54, of Scott City, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 25, 1937 at Swinton, son of Earl and Ada Orsborn McDowell.
He married the former Judy Ann York on March 14, 1975 in Cape Girardeau. She survives of the home.
He worked in construction with Craftsman Independent Union. He was a member of the Church of God in Cape Girardeau.
Surviving, besides his wife, are five sons, Paul J. McDowell of Chaffee and Michael Dwayne McDowell of Jackson, and James Russell, John Slaner and David Amos, all of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Janet and Diane McDowell, and Beth Purkey, all of Cape Girardeau; one brother, James Ernest McDowell of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ethel Pearl Long of Advance and Vyneita Randol of Reseida, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. E.K. Haseltine officiating. Burial will follow in New Lorimier Cemetery.
