WAPPAPELLO -- Clarence E. Seal, 82, of Wappapello died Friday, Feb. 17, 1995, at John J. Pershing Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Jan. 3, 1913, at Des Arc, the son of Fred and Paralee Seal. He and Sue Ann Potter were married June 30, 1930, in Greenville.

He was retired owner-manager of Seal's Resort at Wappapello. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Little Brushy Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and the Masonic Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife of Wappapello; a son, Roger C. Seal of Zionsville, Ind.; a daughter, Deana Teague of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Lonnie Seal of Anna, Ill., and Jim Seal of Piedmont; eight children and eight great-grandchildren.

A daughter preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Robert Edwards will officiate, and burial will be in Little Brushy Cemetery.
