MORLEY, Mo. -- C.D. Alcorn, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. Born May 14, 1929, in Crowder, Missouri, son of the late Ellis and Wrista (Fulkerson) Alcorn, he was a member of Morley Baptist Church. Mr. Alcorn was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Airman Second Class, and was a self-employed real-estate agent, having been owner and operator of C.D. Alcorn Agency from 1953 to 2012...

MORLEY, Mo. -- C.D. Alcorn, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

Born May 14, 1929, in Crowder, Missouri, son of the late Ellis and Wrista (Fulkerson) Alcorn, he was a member of Morley Baptist Church.

Mr. Alcorn was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Airman Second Class, and was a self-employed real-estate agent, having been owner and operator of C.D. Alcorn Agency from 1953 to 2012.

On June 29, 1947, in Osceola, Arkansas, he married Mary Ann (Walker) Alcorn; she preceded him in death Feb. 14, 2009.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Kim Alcorn of Morley; two grandsons, Cody Alcorn of Greenville, South Carolina, and Trey Alcorn of Oklahoma City; one granddaughter, Kinley Alcorn of Morley; one great-grandson, Trevor Cole Alcorn of Oklahoma City; and a very special friend and mother of Cody and Trey Alcorn, Mary Lynn Alcorn of Sikeston, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Morley Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Alcorn, Mike McDonald, Brian Taylor, Paul Taylor, Trey Alcorn and Cody Alcorn.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
