CATHRYN MCCOLLUM

Funeral for Cathryn M. McCollum of Marietta, Ga., will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Hintz will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.

McCollum, 94, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 at IHS of Marietta.

She was born Jan. 13,1906, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John George and Rosa Emma Zapf Meystedt. She and Harry McCollum were married May 18, 1935, in Clarendon, Ark. He died Feb. 10, 1945.

McCollum was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She taught school in Clarendon a number of years. She then owned and operated the former Office Training School in Cape Girardeau, retiring in the late 1960s.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Grimm of Marietta; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
