SIKESTON, Mo. -- Catherine M. Willis, 71, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 4, 1930, at Rolla, Mo., daughter of James R. and Alice Collier Tyler Sr. She and Judson "Jud" Willis Jr. were married April 3, 1947, at Rolla...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Catherine M. Willis, 71, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 4, 1930, at Rolla, Mo., daughter of James R. and Alice Collier Tyler Sr. She and Judson "Jud" Willis Jr. were married April 3, 1947, at Rolla.

Willis lived at Sikeston the past 51 years. She was an election judge in Scott County more than 30 years.

She attended Providence Missionary Baptist Church at Puxico, Mo., and was a member of a garden club in Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven Willis of Kennett, Mo., James Willis of Farmington, Mo.; a daughter, Terri Adams of Matthews, Mo.; two brothers, John and Tim Tyler of Rolla; four sisters, Josephine Cantwell of Wever, Iowa, Peggy Eggers of San Antonio, Texas, Helen McDonald of Okeechobee, Fla., Patsy Mesko of Rolla; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. The Rev. Jerry Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
