EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Catherine Helen Hall Stinson, 81, of Carbondale, Ill., died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Amorel, Ark., daughter of Samuel Bruner and Sarah Hattie Scifres Adkisson. She first married John Henry Hall. She and George LeRoy Stinson were married March 15, 1977. He died March 28, 1998...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Catherine Helen Hall Stinson, 81, of Carbondale, Ill., died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Amorel, Ark., daughter of Samuel Bruner and Sarah Hattie Scifres Adkisson. She first married John Henry Hall. She and George LeRoy Stinson were married March 15, 1977. He died March 28, 1998.

Stinson was a member of First Church of God in East Prairie.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Hall of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Terry Hall of Mulkeytown, Ill.; a daughter, Kathy Keeton of Tallahassee, Fla.; two stepsons, Ale Stinson of Kewanee, Mo., Richard Stinson of Catron, Mo.; four stepdaughters, Reta Taylor of Diehlstadt, Mo., Violet Woods of Lilbourn, Mo., Kay Harris of Wyatt, Mo., Carol Bradum of Dixon, Mo.; two sisters, Irene Walker of Tulsa, Okla., Evelyn Ballard of Pomona, Calif.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 18 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
