NEW HAMBURG -- Catherine (Katie) Klipfel, 76, of New Hamburg died Sunday, Jan. 20, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 28, 1914 in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Hoefler Heuring. She was a retired sewing machine operator for Buckstein Pants Factory in Chaffee. She was also a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, a member of St. Ann Sodality in New Hamburg and a member of the Chaffee R.S.V.P...

NEW HAMBURG -- Catherine (Katie) Klipfel, 76, of New Hamburg died Sunday, Jan. 20, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 28, 1914 in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Hoefler Heuring.

She was a retired sewing machine operator for Buckstein Pants Factory in Chaffee. She was also a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, a member of St. Ann Sodality in New Hamburg and a member of the Chaffee R.S.V.P.

On June 21, 1932, she married Fidelis (Daley) Klipfel. He preceded her in death Aug. 12, 1981.

Two brothers, three sisters, and one stepsister also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Leroy Klipfel Sr., Topeka, Kansas., Raymond Klipfel, Chaffee; two daughters, Doris Walter, Oran, Laverne Keusenkothen, Dexter; one brother, Anton (Tony) Heuring, Cape Girardeau; one sister, Teresa Welter, Scott City Route 1; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
