BENTON, Mo. -- Catherine Louise Halter, 80, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 10, 1924, at Ancell, Mo., daughter of Benjamin John and Dorothy Theresa Heuring Enderle. She and Leon George Halter were married March 9, 1943, at Kelso, Mo. He died Jan. 21, 2002.
Halter was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include a son, Larry Halter of Benton; two daughters, Diane Urhahn of Benton, Carol Jugenheimer of Simsbury, Conn.; four brothers, Edwin Enderle of Kelso, Bill Enderle of Scott City, Felix Enderle of New Hamburg, Mo., Tom Enderle of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lucille Sneed and Ethel Unnerstall of Benton; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Denis Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
