CATHERINE G. DYAS

VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Catherine G. "Katie" Dyas, 84, of Villa Ridge, died Monday, April 17, 1995, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Mound City, daughter of George and Catherine Herley Sweeney. She married Edward F. Dyas.

Dyas was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Ann Wissinger of Cairo; two sons, James Dyas of Springfield, Fred Dyas of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.
