CHARLESTON -- Catherine Jane Farmer, 80, of Charleston died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at her home.
She was born Oct. 3, 1917, at Charleston, daughter of the A.D. and Mary Lynch Simpson. She and Jesse R. Farmer were married Dec. 28, 1947.
She graduated of Charleston High School. She attended Central Methodist College in Fayette and business school in Bowling Green, Ky.
She was a member of the Charleston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, James Albert "Bert" Farmer of Ridgeland, Miss.; a daughter, Mary Jane Bush of Southhaven, Miss.; a sister, Leta Morris of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rick White will officiate, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
