Catherine Ellis

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Catherine Mary Ellis, 92, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born Feb. 1, 1924, in St. Louis, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Hogard) Erlacker. She and Harold Ellis were married Feb. 7, 1942. He preceded her in death May 26, 1997.

Catherine was a retired supervisor at Prince Gardner. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Brewer, Missouri.

Survivors include two sons, William (Donna) Ellis of Jackson and Chuck (Nina) Ellis of Perryville; a sister, Faye Lowry of St. Mary, Missouri; five grandsons, Todd (Denise) Ellis, Brian Ellis, Shane Morelan, Michael (Casey) Ellis and Dustin Ellis; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Marion Erlacker.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church.

A memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Catherine donated her body to medical science.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Christ the Savior Catholic Church.
