CATHERINE CISSELL

PERRYVILLE -- Catherine Anne Cissell, 84, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 19, 1914, at Horine, daughter of Sylvester and Matilda L'Hote Pearson. She and Harvey Joseph Cissell were married Aug. 19, 1937, at Belgique. He died Sept. 15, 1977.

Cissell had been a medical assistant for Drs. Carron and McDermott in Perryville. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Glenda Modde, Joan Brewer and Mae Schnurbusch, all of St. Louis, Kay Thieret of Perryville; a son, Robert "Bob" Cissell of Perryville; two sisters, Ruth Neels and Rosalie Mueller of St. Louis; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, a grandchild, and her stepfather.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Francis Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
