Catana K. Regnier of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born April 17 in St. Louis to Samuel "Bud" and Dorothy (Morris) Updegraff.
Catana was a graduate of the Lutesville, Missouri, high school. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Southeast Missouri State University. She was a special-education teacher with the Missouri Division of Youth Services for over 25 years. In the 1980s, she was a real-estate agent in St. Louis and sold over $1 million in one year. She loved her pets and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Horner II of Cape Girardeau; mother, Dorothy Updegraff of Jackson; daughter, Cassandra "Candee" R. (Lee) Nickell of Winfield, Kansas; sister, Linda (Jim) Rapp of Jackson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
