GRASSY, Mo. -- Cassie L. Hatch, beloved mother and grandmother, passed into eternal life Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, from her home in Grassy.

Born on July 23, 1930, in Senath, Missouri, she was the daughter of Montie and Louelly Moore Binkley.

Cassie married Alvin Mack Hatch on Dec. 2, 1946. Together they raised four children, Alvin Gene (Brenda) Hatch of Jackson, Mackey G. Hatch, Pamela J. (Chuck) Elledge and Donna K. Jackson, all of Grassy.

Her husband, Mack, passed away May 27, 1991.

Cassie worked doing a variety of things during her life. She was first and foremost a wife and mother. Some other jobs she had were working at the shoe factory in Advance, Missouri, and Jackson along with the hat factory in Marble Hill, Missouri. She was an excellent seamstress who also cooked and ironed and provided loving child care for an abundance of the county's working mothers.

The Rebekahs was an organization of which she enjoyed being a part, and she had the privilege of being the Nobel Grand of her chapter. Her garden was very important to her and it flourished under her care. She would can what she grew in her garden and share her bounty with others. Everyone enjoyed going to her house for Sunday dinner.
