Carolyn Sue Humphries, 48, of Houston, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born June 8, 1943, in Sikeston, daughter of Ralph and Verna Lucille DuBois Gurley. Carolyn Sue Humphries, 48, of Houston, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 8, 1943, in Sikeston, daughter of Ralph and Verna Lucille DuBois Gurley. She was a 1961 graduate of Central High School.

Humphries worked in the clerical department of human resources at Vista Chemical Corp.

Survivors include a son, Darrin Humphries of Sikeston; her mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wade Gurley of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Judy Wright of Jefferson City, Pam Exler of Cape Girardeau, and a granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Helmuth Sylvester will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
