PUXICO -- Carolyn Jones, 58, of Puxico died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1938, in Puxico, daughter of Henry Clifford and Katie Peebles Mitchell. She and John Jones were married July 24, 1954, in Sardis, Miss.
Jones was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church, and was a former Sunday School teacher and secretary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Carl and James Jones of Puxico; a daughter, Pam Griffin of Dexter; her mother of Marble Hill; three brothers, David Mitchell of Fredericktown, Raymond Mitchell of Bunker, Doyle Mitchell of Puxico; five sisters, Joyce Hemby and Barbara Null of Puxico, Freida McCain of Marble Hill, Sylvia Hale of Wappapello, Bonita Copeland of Irving, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dale Holman and Jimmy Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
