Carolyn Cauble, daughter of the late Dayton Riehn and Viola Niswornger, was born May 5, 1943, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 78 years.
On May 15, 1966, she was united in marriage to James Cauble Jr. in Cape Girardeau. He survives of the home in Scott City.
She was the former co-owner of Kelso Feed and a resident of Scott City. Carolyn was the past president of the Scott City Gardening Club, was active in the Scott City Swim Team, and was a Cub Scout den mother for several years.
Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Curt Cauble of York, Pennsylvania; brother, Danny Riehn of Louisiana; two sisters, Debbie Moore of Indiana and Marty Buchheit of Old Appleton; five grandchildren, Mike Cauble, Lindsey Cauble, Andy Cauble, Camron Cauble and Jenna Cauble; and a great-grandchild on the way.
Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete and James Riehn.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
